Herrick Cove New Lighthouse Platform

Nearing Completion

The Lake Sunapee Protective Association is constructing new support platforms for the state-owned lighthouses at Herrrick Cove and Burkehaven on Lake Sunapee. Civilworks provided life cycle cost alternative analysis, interim repairs, permitting, engineering and now construction phase engineering services for this work.
Hansen Marine is performing the construction, but had to stop work last winter due to heavy ice conditions. Work restarted this spring and now the Herrick Cove platform is nearing completion. The lighthouse will be moved onto the new platform and the old ice damaged rock filled timber crib will be removed. The Burkehaven lighthouse is next…
