Feasibility Engineering Studies

Feasibility Engineering Studies are a critical component in assessing a project’s financial viability.
A Feasibility Study typically utilizies two steps: The first step is a quick determination of potential site layouts, development constraints, and cost issues. Once a positive determination is made, the second step is a more formal, comprehensive study.
Services included with our feasibility studies are:
Conceptual Plans: A conceptual plan to look at the uses allowed under the city's land use regulations and zoning ordinance and the development constraints.
Site Evaluation: A site evaluation is conducted to determine the existing site conditions that could affect the proposed development of the property. This would include a review of the site and a review of readily available data such as FEMA flood zone maps, soils, utilities, wetlands, roadways and other issues that may affect the development potential of the site.
Code and Zoning: A comprehensive and detailed review of zoning ordinance provisions for the development would also identify constraints placed on the use of the property.
Preliminary Cost Estimates: Preliminary cost estimates are prepared on the basis of an accepted conceptual layout. These estimates are used as guidelines at the beginning phases of a project and are typically updated as the project moves forward.
